Homework for your Parent

The syllabus is now posted to the blog (look to the right under the calendar).  Please read the syllabus with your parent/guardian and have them fill out the parent survey (below).  This must be completed by Monday.

5.             List as many modern countries from the Roman Empire as you can.
  
6.             Name a famous Roman from history.  (bonus: why is he or she famous?)


7.             List as many Roman (or Greek) gods and goddesses as you can. 
  
8.             What happened to Pompeii (a town in Italy and part of the Roman Empire)?
  
9.             Name the five major Romance languages.  What is a Romance language
and why is it called that?
               
10.          Place the following major events in Roman history on the timeline.
